While we understand the weather is not under anyone’s control, we were most disappointed to learn that despite not being taken to see Mt Fuji (at the 5th station) or on the Hakone ropeway ride (in lieu we were taken to an aquarium) which were the main attractions, the tour operator JTB only refunded a bare 10% of the tour cost citing “other activitIes” which were undertaken and that apparently Mt Fuji and Lake Hakone ropeway ride accounted for only 10% of the total costs. Would be better to have activity suggestions for free time and suggestions on how much money to bring to spend on island for food and things. Curry was good lunch, maybe provide a vegetable and meat option. The tour guides were very kind and helped all types of swimmers. I would suggest the visitors wear reef proof sunscreen because I noticed a lot of the coral dying maybe from the toxic sunscreens every one uses. I know Hawaii is big on wearing reef safe sunscreens.”
