“Jorge was an unbelievable guide for our walking tour of Kanazawa. We couldn't have asked for a more informative and knowledgeable individual. Not only discussed the many wonderful aspects of Kanazawa but his vast knowledge of the Japanese people, lifestyle, history and overall abundance of information about the region made for a most pleasant experience. Having taken many tours over the years in many parts of the world including three this go around in Japan in other areas, it was obvious that Jorge was vastly more involved and passionate about the many aspects of Japanese life and the influences that make the basis for this wonderful country. We highly recommend…”

“We all loved it .( 6 in total - young adults through to older ones). Accessible and really enjoyable for all ages including children. All of the scenery including the bus ride was amazing. It was a very hot day when we travailed but the tour being in 2 stages broke up the heat and each location had plenty of lovely tea houses and cafes to cool down in. The traditional lunch was also a highlight. And our tour guide Kuroda was awesome . Funny and he struck the right balance of information and breaks for us to soak up the scenery. We cant recommend this tour highly enough.”

Walk Kanazawa’s samurai and geisha districts, sip matcha, explore Kenrokuen, and learn the city’s story with a small English-speaking group.

“Garrett was a fantastic guide showing us through the sights of Kanazawa and its rich history. We were lucky being the only group on the tour the day we went which meant we got to go at our own pace which, given we all walked quickly, did mean at times we were ahead of schedule but again Garrett adapted and juggled the schedule expertly to accommodate that. The tour is 100% walking and while there’s opportunity to sit and rest at some of the sights you do need to consider whether you can walk the ~10-12km that this tour involves, given the hot day a couple in our group struggled…”

“We practised calligraphy strokes under the guidance of a helpful teacher. We chose what we wanted to write on our finished piece, practised and then had a go. We were very pleased with what we learned, and the scroll we took away as a souvenir. It makes a good break in a day of sightseeing to sit down and do something creative. Highly recommended.”
